All-round styling and the art of storytelling are my passion, I find myself using aspects of it every day .

I am intrigued about all the different story’s, history and backgrounds told in movies, books, tv shows, photo’s, art, play’s etc. Next to this I also find inspiration in everyday life and the little things we do as humans. Observing how we act, behave and how we anticipate to the changes of the world we now live in. I can get excited and intrigued about all kind of things, beautiful or ugly, appealing or appalling, tasteful or distasteful. It are the contrasts and the indefinable that attracts me.

By using my intuition,(most important ability of the mind and body) always keeping my eyes opened and by having an open mind, combined doing a lot of research I am able of detecting emerging trends. These developments and changes than can be converted to trends and translated to atmospheres, theme’s, concepts, images and colourschemes yet to come.

This can be most useful to company’s and brands who are in search for the upcoming trends and how those trends can be used for a company in the near and the far future.

 

If you look at trend forecasting and marketing, both are a way of telling stories. And storytelling is a very powerful thing. Think of all the great fairytales , myths, religions and philosophies out there...each is built around beautiful stories – however you choose to interpret them. Also keep in mind that there’s a lot of market intelligence behind successful trend forecasts. It’s not all lucky guesses or stark intuition. Having a good grasp of history is important, Politics, economics, sociology, design, technology, etc. together with a hunger for information and a lot of research: all of it figures in to how consumers will respond and behave. Using the strength of trend forecasting can help a company develop their own story and their interpretation on the trends using them to the advantage.

 

In my work I can be experimental, dramatic, narrative and abstract but also direct and structured. In all my work you can find a piece that links to society, art, design, philosophy and all the past, current and future developments. these are the aspects that influences a huge part of our life’s and it influences the things we do, how we think and how we function in life and how it effects everything what we do. Using the vision of the future can help us creating a better atmosphere in our current lifestyle.
